Indicative sales procedures

Understand the information, controls and transaction sequence generally required before Altum can progress a physical commodity opportunity.

Required at entry

  • Complete ICPO and corporate KYC / beneficial ownership
  • Evidence of banking capability and proposed payment instrument
  • Product, quantity, delivery basis, ports or terminal and logistics evidence
  • Compliance declarations and traceable communication channels

Document & payment security

SWIFT messages are authenticated bank-to-bank. Screenshots, editable files and free-email messages are not accepted as banking proof. Product evidence is released only at the contractual stage after capability is demonstrated.

Select a delivery procedure
  1. 01

    Buyer submits ICPO, corporate KYC, discharge port and banking coordinates.

  2. 02

    Altum reviews the file and issues an FCO or draft SPA with the commercial invoice.

  3. 03

    The parties execute the SPA and their banks approve the instrument wording.

  4. 04

    Buyer issues the agreed irrevocable documentary credit (MT700); confirmation may be required.

  5. 05

    After bank authentication, Altum releases the contractually agreed partial proof of product and any expressly agreed performance bond.

  6. 06

    Vessel nomination, loading and independent quantity and quality inspection take place at the load port.

  7. 07

    The compliant shipping documents are presented through banking channels and payment is made under the agreed instrument.

  8. 08

    Risk, title and commissions are settled strictly under the SPA, Incoterms® 2020 and signed fee agreements.
